The Comeback Story of the Decade
Previously described in a 2023 Hindenburg report as “the biggest con in corporate history,” the Adani Group was catapulted into international headlines. Shares plummeted, market capitalization fell by more than USD 150 billion, and the group’s ambitious public issue was put on hold.
But Gautam Adani had other ideas.
He adjusted.
Today, with a bold investment commitment of USD 15–20 billion over the next five years, the Adani Group is charting an aggressive path of expansion — from renewable energy and ports to airports, data centers, and even defence and urban redevelopment.
Key Highlights from the 2024-25 Annual Report
Gautam Adani’s latest letter to shareholders reads more like a masterclass in resilience and strategic pivoting. Here’s a breakdown of the Group’s major milestones:

- Adani Green Energy reached 14 GW operational renewable capacity, targeting 50 GW by 2030.

Perhaps the most impactful of all — the transformation of Mumbai’s Dharavi, Asia’s largest slum. The plan includes:
- Modern housing for over 1 million people
- Inspired by Singapore’s housing model
- Schools, hospitals, transit hubs, and parks
Defence & Surveillance

Adani’s Response to Global Scrutiny
In the wake of recent US probes into suspected bribery and investor deception, Gautam Adani was obstinate but unflappable. He said, “We are in a world where bad news tends to make more noise than truth…. Our compliance is of international standards.”
He reiterated that no case under the Foreign Corrupt Practices Act (FCPA) has been filed against anyone in the Adani Group.
“Our conviction is anchored in clarity. Our objectives are aligned with India’s ambitions. And our strength comes from the belief that our shareholders place in us.” — Gautam Adani
In 2025, the Adani Group isn’t just rebounding — it’s redefining corporate grit in India and beyond.
