In a strong and collective diplomatic gesture, Indian all-party delegations travelling to several countries have stressed zero tolerance for terrorism and asserted that Pakistan-occupied Kashmir (PoK) alone must be the issue in any future negotiations with Pakistan. The strategic diplomatic initiative follows after the Lethal Pahalgam Terror Attack on April 22 that claimed 26 civilians’ lives.

After the April 22 terror attack, India conducted pin-point air strikes on terror bases in Pakistan and PoK on May 7. Pakistan attempted to target Indian military establishments on May 8–10 but was faced with tight counter attacks, which caused serious damage to major Pakistani establishments.
May 10, Foreign Secretary Vikram Misri said India and Pakistan mutually decided to halt all armed activities along land, air, and maritime borders- a ceasefire after a high-deceleration period.
What Lies Ahead?
With terrorism back in international focus and PoK as a diplomatic priority, assertive foreign policy by India is striking a chord. These high-level delegations are making sure that India’s voice against terrorism and territorial integrity is heard loud and clear across the world.
